Compost is an organic product consisting of a mixture of ingredients used to mulch, fertilise and improve the soil. Compost is commonly prepared by decomposing plant and food waste via a composting process to recycle the organic materials. Compost is used to improve the soil fertility in gardens, landscaping, horticulture, urban agriculture and organic farming.
